TEAM

Jen Cole

Jen is the Past President of the Virginia Council on Litter Prevention and Recycling, led the County’s Litter Task Force, and is an active member of Fairfax’s MS4 Outreach and Education Teams, The Virginia Conservation Network, and the Virginia Coastal Alliance. Most recently, she served a 4-year appointment to the Governor’s Plastic Waste Prevention Advisory Council, and she has also served as Vice President of Awards for the Community Appearance Alliance.

Jen holds a Masters in Public Administration with an emphasis on Urban Environmental Policy from Norwich University, a Certification in Advanced Sustainable Business Practices from University of Vermont, and is PADI Open Water certified. She originally hails from Providence, RI, where she worked as the Director of Groundwork Providence, an agency whose programs include street tree plantings,  community gardens, recycling education, neighborhood cleanups, and “green collar” job training. She also was the Director of the Providence Neighborhood Planting Program, and the Advocacy Coordinator for the Rhode Island office of Conservation Law Foundation.  Jen also served a five-year term as as the Mayor’s appointee to the Providence City Plan Commission.

Jen lives in Upper Prince William County with her husband, dogs, cats, and bees, where she knits, makes jam, bakes, grows her own food and roasts coffee.

Eleanor Kluegel

Elli is a native of Portland, Oregon who has spent the past ten years in Fairfax County. She recently graduated from Loyola University Maryland, where she played Division-1 lacrosse and earned both her Bachelor’s in Biology and Master’s in Emerging Media (digital communications). As a student-athlete, Elli received numerous accolades for her work inside the classroom and on the field, including university-wide, league, and national recognition as the Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year and a repeat Academic All-American. In addition to athletics, Elli was also involved in academic research—working in a microbiology lab on campus during her senior year and co-authoring research on Covid-19 vaccine hesitancy & uptake in India as a graduate research assistant.

Elli is passionate about the environment and protecting it, and is very eager to tackle some of the most pressing issues facing Fairfax County and Virginia. In her free time, Elli enjoys being active and exploring the outdoors, trying her hand at ambitious baking recipes, working on creative projects, and DIY-ing.

Shreyas Adicherla

Shreyas is a current BA student at George Mason University. A native of Little Rock, Arkansas, Shreyas has spent two years in the Fairfax area learning about the wide environmental scene and networks of policy in his Government and International Politics major. Shreyas currently serves as the Secretary of Public Relations within the George Mason Student Government and News Director of the Mason Cable Network. Shreyas has been involved in many areas of research stemming from Buddhist Environmental Consciousness, which received wide acclaim at the National Conference for Undergraduate Research to his current research on Resistance Movements within Africa.

In his free time, Shreyas likes gardening, playing and watching soccer, and developing new recipes in the kitchen.
